Golestan Rose Pendant | 18ct Yellow Gold
Golestan Rose Pendant | 18ct Yellow Gold
I designed this pendant to capture the timeless beauty of Persian paradise gardens in 18ct yellow gold. The rose motif translates floral tilework from Iran's garden palaces into wearable sculpture.
The Inspiration
The word 'paradise' comes from Old Persian 'pairidaeza', meaning 'walled garden'. For thousands of years, Persian gardens were designed as earthly reflections of heaven: symmetrical, flowing with water, filled with roses and fruit trees. The most famous is Golestan, the Rose Garden palace in Tehran, where Qajar kings surrounded themselves with mirrored halls and garden courtyards covered in floral tilework.
Every curve in this piece follows the same geometric logic that Persian architects used centuries ago. The rose motif is translated from Persian tilework into sculpted gold, creating a wearable piece of architectural heritage.
