Bespoke Portfolio
Every commission begins with a conversation and ends with something irreplaceable. These are some of the pieces I have had the privilege of bringing to life.
Commission I
Leila’s Ceylon Sapphire Ring
The brief: Leila came to me wanting a ring that honoured her Iranian heritage whilst feeling entirely modern. She had inherited a 2.1ct oval Ceylon sapphire from her grandmother and wanted it set in something meaningful.
The design: I drew on the geometry of the Persian eight-pointed star, translating it into open latticework shoulders in 18ct yellow gold. The sapphire sits proud, framed by a pavé diamond gallery that catches light from every angle. The star motif connects Leila to her roots without announcing it.
Details: 2.1ct oval Ceylon sapphire · 18ct yellow gold · Persian star latticework shoulders · Pavé diamond gallery
Commission II
Nadia’s Calligraphy Pendant
The brief: Nadia wanted to wear a line of Persian poetry close to her heart. Not printed on metal, not engraved as an afterthought, but woven into the very structure of the piece.
The design: I shaped the Nastaliq letterforms into the skeleton of a teardrop pendant, hand-piercing each curve so the calligraphy becomes the openwork structure itself. Small diamonds trace the letter contours, adding sparkle without competing with the poetry. The result is a pendant that reads differently depending on whether you know the script.
Details: 18ct white gold · Nastaliq calligraphy openwork · Pavé diamonds along letter contours · Teardrop silhouette
Commission III
Yasmin & Tom’s Silk Road Wedding Bands
The brief: Yasmin is Iranian, Tom is English. They wanted wedding bands that told the story of two cultures meeting, without cliché. The Silk Road felt right: a historic route that connected East and West through trade, art, and exchange.
The design: I hand-engraved a continuous Silk Road caravan scene around each band: camels, merchants, and rolling landscapes that travel the full circumference. A Persian palmette border frames the imagery on both edges. The 18ct rose gold has a soft satin finish that gives the engraving a quiet, tactile quality.

Commission IV
Soraya’s Ruby Cluster Ring
The brief: Soraya loves vintage jewellery but wanted something new, something with a story that starts with her. She was drawn to rubies for their warmth and to old-cut stones for their character.
The design: Seven old-cut rubies sit in a tight cluster, their warm red tones shifting subtly from stone to stone. The gallery underneath is hand-engraved with Safavid rosettes, a detail visible only to Soraya when she removes the ring. Small diamond accents nestle between the rubies, adding just enough brilliance to lift the piece without making it flashy.
Details: Seven old-cut rubies · 18ct yellow gold · Hand-engraved Safavid rosette gallery · Diamond accents
Commission V
Shirin’s Dual Heritage Brooch
The brief: Shirin has lived in England for thirty years but Iran never left her. She wanted a piece that held both identities without compromise, something she could pin to a coat or a scarf and carry both countries with her.
The design: A 42mm circular brooch in two-tone 18ct gold. At the centre, a Persian Shams sun motif radiates diamond-set rays. Around it, alternating panels of Tudor roses and Persian arabesques create a border where neither tradition dominates. The yellow and white gold shift between warm and cool, echoing the duality of the piece.
Details: 42mm diameter · 18ct yellow and white gold · Diamond sunburst centre · Tudor rose and Persian arabesque panels
