Haftsin Bracelet
Haftsin Bracelet
The Haftsin bracelet takes its name and structure from the seven sacred items of the Haft Seen table, the centrepiece of Nowruz. Each of the seven principal links in this bracelet represents one of the seven: sabzeh (wheatgrass), samanu (wheat pudding), senjed (lotus fruit), seer (garlic), seeb (apple), somaq (sumac), and serkeh (vinegar). Seven things beginning with the letter seen. Seven symbols of renewal.
I designed this bracelet as a wearable record of the ritual. Wear it and you carry the whole table with you. Every link is a different thing; together they make one complete thing.
Each of the seven principal links is individually hand-modelled to carry a different surface motif referencing its element. The links are connected by fine 18ct yellow gold rings to create a supple, weighted bracelet that moves well on the wrist. Birmingham hallmarked.
One standard length (18cm). Extension available on request. Lead time 6-8 weeks, made to order.
Bespoke adjustments available. Contact us to discuss.
