I designed this collar necklace as the ultimate expression of the Firouzeh collection. Multiple cabochons of Neyshabur turquoise are arranged in a graduated design, connected by articulated 18ct gold links set with diamonds. The necklace sits close to the collarbone, creating a bold frame of turquoise and gold that references the ceremonial jewellery of Persian royalty.

The Design

This collar draws inspiration from the magnificent turquoise and gold necklaces found in the Iranian National Jewels collection. The graduated arrangement mirrors the way Persian architects used turquoise tiles in varying scales to create depth and movement across building facades. Each link is individually articulated, allowing the necklace to drape with fluid elegance whilst maintaining its architectural structure.
