Gol-e Sefid Pendant | Platinum, Blue Sapphire & Diamonds
Gol-e Sefid Pendant | Platinum, Blue Sapphire & Diamonds
I designed this piece to capture moonlit Isfahan gardens in platinum. A vivid blue sapphire heart sits within brilliant diamond petals, a white flower blooming under starlight.
Gol-e Sefid (گل سفید, "White Flower") draws on the ethereal beauty of Persian Chahar Bagh gardens, where white marble reflects starlight and rare blue flowers bloom in darkness. The pendant features a vivid blue sapphire at its heart, surrounded by brilliant-cut diamonds that echo the geometric precision of Persian garden architecture.
Materials:
- Platinum or 18ct white gold
- Centre: AAA grade vivid blue sapphire, pear or oval cut (1.0-1.5ct)
- Halo: Round brilliant-cut diamonds (E-F colour, VVS-VS clarity)
- Accent diamonds in bail and petals
In Persian garden tradition, the contrast of blue and white represents the meeting of earth and sky, water and marble. This design references the reflecting pools of Chehel Sotoun palace in Isfahan, where symmetry and light create paradise on earth. Each petal is individually sculpted, with diamond pave creating the illusion of morning dew.
