Firouz Engagement Ring
Long before the diamond solitaire existed, Persian courts gave turquoise as the betrothal stone: Shirazi and Qajar brides received Neyshabur turquoise as a pledge of faithfulness, a tradition that reaches back three thousand years to the Achaemenid empire and the mines of Khorasan.
The Firouz Engagement Ring continues that tradition in 18ct yellow gold, set with a 7x9mm oval Grade A Persian turquoise from Neyshabur, the mine that has supplied the finest sky-blue stones for centuries; the colour is calm, unwavering, almost cloudless, with minimal matrix so the stone reads clearly on the hand.
A slim double band frames the centre stone with E-F diamond micropavé totalling 0.12ct, adding a quiet brightness without competing with the turquoise itself.
I design each Firouz ring to order, so the stone you wear is chosen with you, not pulled from a stock tray.
Made to order at our Birmingham Jewellery Quarter studio. Lead time six to eight weeks. Book a private consultation to select your stone.
