Gol-e Kabud Ring | Platinum, Blue Sapphires & Diamonds

I designed the Gol-e Kabud Ring as a tribute to the legendary blue flower of Persian poetry, a bloom so rare it exists only in verse and dreams. Eight pear-shaped vivid blue sapphires radiate from a central cluster of brilliant-cut diamonds, forming a flower inspired by the sacred geometry of Persian paradise gardens.

The platinum setting forms architectural petals that frame each sapphire with geometric precision, referencing the Chahar Bagh (four-part garden) layouts that define Persian landscape design. Every angle reveals new facets of light and form, just as a Persian garden reveals different perspectives as you move through its quadrants.

Materials

  • Platinum 950 (UK hallmarked)
  • 8 vivid blue sapphires, pear-shaped, AAA grade (approx. 0.60ct each, 4.80ct total)
  • Brilliant-cut diamonds, E-F colour, VVS clarity (approx. 0.45ct total)

Cultural Heritage

The vivid blue echoes the turquoise-glazed tiles that adorn Isfahan's Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque, where 17th-century Persian architects created earthly paradise through geometry and colour. In Persian Sufi poetry, the blue flower represents the ideal beauty that exists just beyond reach, eternal, perfect and divine. This ring makes that mystical symbol tangible, placing paradise on your hand.
