Gol-e Behesht Ring | 18ct White Gold, Sapphire & Diamonds
Gol-e Behesht Ring | 18ct White Gold, Sapphire & Diamonds
I designed the Gol-e Behesht Ring as a tribute to the rose gardens of Shiraz, where poets like Hafez and Saadi composed verses beneath rose bowers. Five individually formed petals cradle a 5mm brilliant-cut sapphire, representing the water source at the heart of every Persian Chahar Bagh paradise garden.
Alternating petals shimmer with micro-pav diamonds, creating asymmetric brilliance that catches light like morning dew on rose petals. The design references Safavid miniature paintings, where Persian artists rendered paradise gardens with mathematical precision and organic beauty in perfect balance.
Materials
- 18ct white gold (rhodium-plated finish)
- Centre: Round brilliant-cut blue sapphire, 5.0mm
- Accents: 30 round brilliant-cut diamonds (1.10mm each, approx. 0.15ct total weight)
Cultural Heritage
In Persian poetry, the rose symbolises divine beauty and earthly love. Gol-e Behesht means 'Paradise Flower', the rose as it blooms in heaven, perfect and eternal. I wanted to capture that immortal beauty in precious metal and gemstone.
