Roshanak Engagement Ring
The muqarnas vault is one of Persian architecture's supreme achievements — a geometric construction where stone is carved into stalactite cells, each tier cascading inward to guide the eye toward light at the centre. I designed Roshanak to translate this architectural principle into a diamond engagement ring.
The halo is a two-tiered muqarnas structure: an inner honeycomb of smaller diamonds forming the stalactite cells, an outer tier of larger stones creating the stepped, vaulted edge. The shoulders are hand-engraved with islimi arabesque scrollwork — the flowing vine geometry found in Persian manuscript illumination and carved into the plaster of Persepolis.
Roshanak means "bearer of light" — one of Persia's oldest names. Each ring is made to order in Birmingham, UK hallmarked, and presented with a GIA or IGI diamond certificate.
