Gol-e Kabud Ring | 18ct White Gold, Blue Sapphire & Diamonds
Gol-e Kabud Ring | 18ct White Gold, Blue Sapphire & Diamonds
I crafted the Gol-e Kabud Ring to bring the legendary blue rose of Persian poetry to life. In Persian literature, the blue rose represents the impossible made real, divine love manifesting in earthly form. Poets from Rumi to Hafez wrote of gardens where such flowers bloomed for those pure of heart.
Three graduated layers of diamond-set petals unfold around a deep blue sapphire heart, each layer hand-formed and textured to mirror the delicate architecture of a rose in full bloom. The design draws from Safavid miniature paintings, where blue flowers adorned the gardens of mythical kings.
The three-layer petal structure references the Chahar Bagh principle of Persian garden design, where beauty is revealed in graduated stages as you move deeper into the garden. Each layer draws you closer to the sapphire heart, representing the water source at the centre of every Persian paradise garden.
