I designed this cuff bracelet as a bold celebration of Persian turquoise craftsmanship. Multiple cabochons of Neyshabur turquoise are set into an 18ct gold cuff featuring openwork lattice inspired by the geometric screens of Persian architecture.
The Design
The lattice pattern draws from the mashrabiya screens found in traditional Persian homes, where carved geometric patterns filter light into interior spaces. Here, the gold lattice creates a framework that both cradles and reveals the turquoise stones, allowing light to pass through and around them. The cuff sits comfortably on the wrist, with an internal spring mechanism for easy wearing.
