The Scheherazade Brooch takes its name from the legendary storyteller of One Thousand and One Nights — the woman whose voice kept a kingdom alive. I designed this piece as a wearable portrait: a crowned figure in flowing robes, every surface alive with hand-applied cloisonné enamel in deep royal blue, emerald green, and burgundy, separated by fine 18ct yellow gold cloisons in Islamic arabesque patterns.

The crown and belt are set with round brilliant diamonds in pav�. The face and hands are rendered in polished 18ct yellow gold, catching light against the richly coloured enamel ground. This is jewellery as narrative — a tribute to Persian storytelling tradition, made wearable as a statement brooch.
